Elan receives two new awards for the Voyager ski and GT6 sailboat

The Voyager - the world’s first folding ski - won the Grand Prix BigSEE Product Design Award 2021 in the leisure category. The GT6 sailboat won two awards, the BigSEE Product Design Award 2021 in the mobility category, and the Slovenian Design of the Year 2021 Award. In its substantiation of the product design award the expert jury at BigSEE wrote: “When renowned marine design studio Humphreys Yacht Design, F. A. Porsche design and a manufacturer that has stood at the top of its class for decades join forces, a ground breaking result is par for the course. A major shift in the approach to the marine sector and perception of leisure time at sea has created a new concept that follows current trends while exceeding them."

The awards were presented by BIG – Center for creative economy of Southeast Europe. The BIG SEE platform recognizes rich creativity and potential in various spheres of creative expression: architecture and design; art, culture and lifestyle; sports, science, education and politics; business and economy; travel, food and hospitality.
The Voyager ski is a global innovation and an exceptional technological advancement in the ski industry. It is the world’s first folding all-mountain carving ski. Elan has received a number of exclusive local and international awards for the Voyager ski. Just this year the ski has won the most coveted Red Dot Best of the Best Award, the greatest global award in the field of technology, sports and lifestyle – the Plus X and Plus X Best Product of the Year 2021, the most exclusive SOF SOF-a award at the 30th Slovenian Advertising Festival, the Gold Winner award at the ISPO Awards and the gold national award by the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia.

The GT6 sailboat is also a breakthrough and technologically superior product of the Elan brand and epitomizes the vision of the automotive grand tourer concept adapted to the marine medium. It blends luxury and sports, fast sailing, comfortable living on board and breathtaking design. The GT6 project involved Elan designers, Humphreys Yacht Design and Studio F. A. Porsche.

The GT6 sailboat has become the greatest achievement in Slovenian design in 2021 and is the first product of the Elan Marine division to receive the exclusive Red Dot Award. The GT6 was also received nominations for European Yacht of the Year award, Cruising World Yacht of the Year, SAIL Best Boats 2022, British Yachting Awards 2021 and placed in the final selection for the Yacht and Aviation 2021 award.
