The Elan nautical division makes boats that have helped create unforgettable marine adventures for over seventy years.
Long Tradition
At the end of the 1940's Elan began to make boats. The first vessels to come out of the factory were kayaks and canoes. Soon thereafter Elan became one of the first manufacturers to apply polyester and fiberglass to the production of boats. In the 1980's the factory focused on constructing high performance cruising sailboats.
Constant innovation
Elan has pioneered its share of innovations in the nautical world. The brand was the first manufacturer to use vacuum technology in the molding of hulls and decks as well as the first to put two rudders and wheels on leisure sailboats and use chines in the hull design.

Throughout our rich history Elan has worked with many internationally recognized maritime design studios including: J&J Design, Humphreys Yacht Design and Studio F. A. Porsche. Elan sailboats feature beautifully designed interiors in addition to using the highest quality materials creating exceptional seakeeping abilities that enable unforgettable sailing experiences and excellent results on the race course. Elan boats have won numerous accolades over the years and continue to create unforgettable memories on the water with friends and family.
